When the Generative Agents system was evaluated for how “believably human” the agents acted, researchers found the AI versions scored higher than actual human actors.
That’s a neat finding. I feel like there’s a lot to unpack there around how our expectations are formed.

discuss these real scenarios
People are entirely too gullible.
If there is no barrier to posting fiction pretending to be factual, then large numbers of people will do it just for shits and giggles. Add dopamine inducing upvotes to the mix, and you’ve added an extra incentive on top of that for people to produce compelling fiction.
The only prudent default position is to take every single firsthand account you encounter online with a grain of salt. In truth, this should be done irl as well. “The fish was thiiiiis big!” was a meme before internet memes existed, for good reason. Firsthand accounts are naturally highly, highly problematic, with numerous subtle incentives to lie and exaggerate, and that’s before we add anonymity to the mix.
A reporter should know better.

Even when I see Elrond in LotR, that’s actually just Agent Smith in a funny costume.

If that’s really true, you could easily have copy/pasted your evidence. The only reason you wouldn’t is if you can’t. Which is why you just keep saying the same things like that will somehow change something.

Really? Then prove this:
remember how you pretended the documented, verified US government sources weren’t real
Unless you just made it up out of the blue, of course. You do that a lot. You just keep chanting how right you are, but never copy anything to actually prove it. Very weak, when anyone can chant anything.

You really do like making claims you can’t back up. If I was wrong and you could prove it, it’d be a win for you. Unless you actually just can’t, though.

No, I do not remember denying any sources were real. Where in any of my (still unedited btw) comments did that happen? Or are you just making shit up again?

No, it does not support everything you’ve been saying. This is why you’ve had to do ninja edits to change what you were saying. Remember that part?

Playing pretend in what way? I told you, as soon as you support your specific statements that you’ve made, or admit you were wrong, we’re cool. I don’t see what is being pretended.
Specifically, you saying “using weapons” in this case. The bacteria were not weapons. They were studying weapons, by using other bacteria that behave similar to weapons. I don’t think you actually care, but I do I’m afraid. Where in the report does it say weapons were released? Not studied, released?

I’m not fighting against the facts. I’m fighting against you. You thinking everything you say is a fact without having to prove it is a you problem. Doesn’t mean I have to go along with it. Nitpicking is about facts, you know. True/false.

I have no issues with you sticking to the facts. If you just did that, we’d have no issues, remember? It’s when you add things, remember your ninja edit to delete “radiological”? Don’t blame me for calling you out on this stuff. Or, y’know, just let me know why you like to twist things.
edit: btw, “sour lemons?” Are you actually an older person? I haven’t heard that one in ages.

Ahh, the “I know you are, but what am I?” defense. I see we’ve regressed back to grade school. And you call me juvenile? lol I guess Trump does that one too, so you could also be really elderly.
Or, y’know, you could just admit you like adding things to your sources beyond what they actually say.

In what way can context change the meaning of “releasing weapons” into something else?
I already told you several times, you take certain true things, mix them with lies, and then spin it together into your overall message. Then you do ninja edits when these are pointed out. Did you forget?

Kinda hard to call it misdirection when I’m directly quoting you from a different comment you made and asking you to either support it or admit you were twisting words around. Seems like a pretty straight direction to me, no? I mean, if you really read it, it’d be pretty easy to say where in it you got that from.

I’m not asking you to distort anything. I’m asking you to tell me where in your sources it supports you when you said this:
admitted to using chemtrails to disperse biological weapons
Because what I read is another, much less dangerous bacteria was spread to study how spreading happened. And we can tell, too, because tons of people didn’t die, and weapons are for killing people. Make sense? Or you can just admit that you’ve been subtly twisting the truth to suit your ends.

It doesn’t really matter if you care. Just stop making up things to add and stick to the true parts and everything will be fine. Can you do that maybe?

Scaring me? More like offending me. I don’t like lies in my YSK subs. Like I said, if you had stuck to only the true parts of your posts, we wouldn’t be having this problem. Not that I expect you to really remember what I said anymore I suppose.
edit: We reached max comment depth after his next reply. lol So I’m continuing with him in a new comment thread. Shhhhhhh…

You can try personal insults all you want, but it’s your words and your sources I’ve been using. Anyone that reads them will see that I am right and you are not.
Depends if I can get my phone unlocked and call an ambulance or not. Unassisted I’m probably bleeding out, but if I can get to a hospital then I can probably make it. I do wonder how much skin I’ll even have left at this point, considering the sheer number of cuts, scrapes and burns I’ve had, but blood loss should be the only potentially fatal problem needing to be dealt with immediately.
Big if, though, my hands would be a busted up mess. Operating a touchscreen would be a pretty big ask, and I probably don’t have a lot of time fully conscious. I’d also have several broken bones preventing me from going anywhere to find help.
