I switched months ago after some full screen pop up for Windows 11 took over my whole screen in the middle of me doing stuff. In a blind rage, i plugged my usb in and downloaded Pop. Did a full clean install and never looked back. There have been some hiccups, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed right away.

What did you switch to, prey tell?

Theres a crossfit gym on my way to work. I see people running outside the gym everyday. Like they drive to the gym to run outside of the gym, then drive home.
Oh, so thats how LLMs are made?
Sprinkle a little cocaine right on the grey matter to overclock the device.

Perfect hard boiled eggs- Take cold eggs and put in pot of cold water. Turn pot on high, let it reach a boil and turn pot off. Leave the pot on till the water calms down, then put the pot under a stream of cool water in sink. Let the eggs cool off to room temp then peel under the sink for easier shell removal.

I just switched a couple months ago to Pop OS because it is supposed to be more up to date on Nvidia drivers and game stuff. I haven’t tested to many games yet but the couple I did worked fine. I was going to go with Mint originally but the gaming thing sold me on Pop. Its been pretty smooth but I would like more built in setting options for customizations.

I have a theory that YT deliberately makes you wait the length an ad would have been if you have uBlock Origin installed. Ive just let it “buffer” for 30 seconds or so and it will eventually load the video.

Oh come one it can’t be that long ago.
Oh… Friday came out in 1995. 30 years ago.
Damn ok.

I think a lot of that started ironically and then bled over to normal conversations.
Is the grass where your from abnormally large?

Gears like this are one of my minor pet peeve in media. I know this was AI but even humans get it wrong a lot.
Im guilty of this. I dont write out the passwords in plaintext though. Its mostly just a few letters to remind me of which version of my many “master” passwords i used and then asterisks. P***W0*******$ kinda thing. I know its bad but I can’t bring myself to trust a password manager.

Im not sure when the update came out but I’ve had two forced updates in the past 3-4 months for my Pixel 6. Im assuming thats when it changed. I am very meticulous about checking settings after updates but It looks like this was only online settings for your google account, not local to the phone, which is probably how I missed it.

Funny how I turned off any data sharing for google years ago but the inclusion of gemini somehow voids my previous decision.

That brings up a good point though. Based on just the screenshot here, it seems like the user wont have a choice of what gets uploaded. People keep some pretty raunchy photos on their phone sometimes. Even kids might have some questionable photos. This is just asking for trouble.
Yep, my roommate has a German Shepherd that sheds like crazy. He will sweep, vac, and mop and in a couple hours there’s tumble weeds (dog hair) blowing across the living room again.
Just be aware, many of these cameras have multiple other cameras pointing at eachother. Also the map cant be trusted to show all cameras. my neighborhood alone, has at least 4 that dont show up on the map.
