Why would you keep track? Can’t form your own opinions?!
And what the fuck hasn’t Oracle done? Like, seriously, they’ve been a known bad actor for literally decades now…

I can’t think of any situation where disallowing people from repairing their own property makes any sense.
I can think of one, but the issue is largely a thing of the past: old CRT TV’s or monitors. If you attempt to repair one without knowing what you’re doing, you literally could get yourself killed.
That said, I still agree with you wholeheartedly. I’d much rather mandate dangerous to repair products be labeled as such, but the design and construction of consumer products should never prohibit the end user from being able to repair their own property.

But the source code isn’t available. The source isn’t open. It’s not open-source, by definition.
The “spectrum” you refer to us about how free you are to publicly make use of the code, not whether or not you even have the code.
This situation does not fall inside that spectrum.

Lol, sorry, I should’ve added an ‘/s’ on my reply!
No, I got it, just was being way too sarcastic for text.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Edit: I ain’t straight. Or gay, or bi, or pan. Fuck labels, man! I don’t fit into their tidy little boxes, and why should any of us?!?

Yeah, yeah, straight heterosexual intercourse is gay or something. I guess?
But the real question is - who fucking cares?
( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

Yikes! You dug her up just to get a piece?
I mean, far be it from me to kink shame, so…to each their own, I guess.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’ll fuck yours, if you fuck mine. That’s how that works, right?
I think it’s been a year or so now since Microsoft updated Windows to be incompatible with dual boot from the same drive. When Windows boots up, it nukes grub if it’s on the same drive as your windows install. Every time.
If you want to dual boot, you basically need separate drives now. So stupid…

I cannot fathom why I wouldn’t be pessimistic about a tool that’s being crammed into places it doesn’t fit. There are a small handful of things generative algorithms are genuinely useful for. But expecting it to magically solve anything else is foolish, and always will be.

As opposed to yourself, I guess?

Fair enough. I mean, they’ll never not pay attention to whatever moves the money, of course. Brrr! Line most go up! But they’re so far up their own asses who really knows why they do what they do. Cause I’m pretty sure the only thing they’ve figured out is what their own farts smell like!

I actually doubt it will go that far. They’re far more concerned with those precious ad views, and the slowdown from encrypting/decrypting every feed everywhere would almost certainly cause a noticeable downward trend in those ad views.
Watch this not ever really even touch the mobile phone market. The only computer they want you to have access to is the one they fully control…
