Lossy at what bitrate?

The stuff on YouTube is already lossy and it becomes more lossy when you transcode it.

Stoat seems pretty good, but it’s still a bit buggy. It kept disconnecting and reconnecting, but I logged out and then back in again and that fixed it.

When I think of sideloading, it’s installing software without using an app store, because that’s the name of the command in adb. You plug your phone into your computer, open a terminal, and do adb sideload path/to/my/app.

The release of the Epstein files wasn’t about Trump. It was about getting closure for the victims.

There’s freeCodeCamp which is (wait for it)…free.

An impressive grift

Well, that’s how journalism has always functioned. People call it “clickbait” as if it’s something new, but headlines have always been designed to grab your attention and get you to read.

I think the idea is anonymous querying.

Yes, that’s worth pointing out. Human trafficking is illegal no matter what age the victim is. What Epstein did would’ve still been wrong (and criminal) even if none of the women had been minors.

Yeah, Stallman needs to educate himself on human brain development. The decision-making centers of the brain don’t stop developing at 17 or 18 but 25. So, a lot of people are wrong on this, unfortunately.

It’s like asking if schizophrenia is okay.
Now, if you’re talking about child molestation, that is clearly and unequivocally wrong, but if that’s what you mean, you should say that.

No. No, it really doesn’t.
I want a vegan recipe that uses turbinado sugar. I get 3 articles and only one of them is a recipe. If I don’t like that recipe…too bad. That’s what they have.

Even if I do want it, there are plenty of free models that I can use locally, on my desktop PC. They don’t phone home, either, so Nadella doesn’t see a cent from me directly or indirectly.

You mean that if you convinced somebody to do something stupid…and then they did it and died…you wouldn’t feel guilty at all?

A 19-year-old doesn’t have a fully-developed brain yet.

Yeah. What year is this?!?

Sure, blind loyalty is bad, but your characterization of Mozilla is either ignorant or disingenuous. From Wikipedia:
The Mozilla Foundation will ultimately control the activities of the Mozilla Corporation and will retain its 100 percent ownership of the new subsidiary. Any profits made by the Mozilla Corporation will be invested back into the Mozilla project. There will be no shareholders, no stock options will be issued and no dividends will be paid. The Mozilla Corporation will not be floating on the stock market and it will be impossible for any company to take over or buy a stake in the subsidiary. The Mozilla Foundation will continue to own the Mozilla trademarks and other intellectual property and will license them to the Mozilla Corporation. The Foundation will also continue to govern the source code repository and control who is allowed to check in.
This doesn’t mean that enshittification can’t happen, but Mozilla Corporation clearly has different pressures than most corporations.

Thanks. Fixed.
Opus @ 160 kbps is like MP3 at 320 kbps IIRC.
