The whole stop while operated is weird, maybe a bug? I’d consider it more normal if they only refused to start. Sorta like an enhanced security system because immobilizer fobs can be bypassed, particularly on cars with Keyless Go.

I actually had a car with Keyless Go and it just kept going if the key wasn’t there. Wouldn’t restart if you stopped it, but it would never stop (though I never tried what would happen if you had Start-Stop enabled and the engine stopped for that)

And I added the link because I didn’t know if you’re familiar :) In my country the New Russian stereotype jokes are actually “New Rich” jokes, so as a bonus they’re not racist jokes here! They just refer to dumb rich people, with the implication being that they got riched in the looting of people’s wealth after the collapse of the soviet union, since most of the jokes originate from the 1990s and early 2000s… Let me know if you want to hear a few lol
