We have that, it’s called social media. But the rest of us are not living our lives without it, seemingly…
To me that signals someone deeply in their bubble.
But sure, you have that option… Block me too, this comment is probably also too spicy. :)

Now you start to understand…
Ask more questions.

It just means bots are taking over and we can trust even less of the web.
Ouch. Must have been difficult for you. Hope you feel better now when your Frontpage consists of things you can agree with. :)

This is why all the fear of Chinese stuff is nonsense. Specially coming from America who are the only ones who got exposed for a massive spy program by Snowden.
We are literally having American government being able to get into any cisco router they want. It was done in the recent conflict with Iran. But people forget these things so quickly.

I see your point I guess. Perhaps defederation is something that users want, and then they are happy to see who does it the most?
Im not like that myself, but I can see the point.

It doesn’t even Include https://lemmy.today/ that has no defederation or blocking at all, and has never had, since the admin feels it’s up to the user and not the admin to decide these things. You know, free and open internet, remember?
Also one of the best themes of all Lemmy instances if you ask me.

Standing by for “Chinese memory is spying on you, don’t buy it”.
If this memory is high quality, it will become very popular with consumers and still have high prices. No reason to lower it a lot for consumer market if they are alone there. Maybe make it 10% cheaper.

Well one part of that is true at least.

Oneplus 13 has two day battery life for me. Best phone I’ve ever owned. But I heard they are not going to release oneplus phones in Europe anymore so that sucks a lot. I dont want anything else.

It really isnt better than reddit unfortunately. But it depends what you are looking for. If you want to find a replacement for a popular reddit community here, you are out of luck most of the time. But if you are happy with memes, you will like this place. Its chill and relaxed and has humor and no algorithms.

But they said if we pay, we are not the product…
Was the BMW free? It must have been.

Happy to see it. I would love a new platform to show up and replace reddit. I dont think its going to be Lemmy but something where the creators actually care about great discussions rather than money.
The challenge is moderation of course.
Not federated and it doesn’t need to be since you use the same instance all the time. It’s the content that is federated to your instance and you just view it on your instance.
There is a lot of truth to what you are saying here. Lemmy users are very quick to categorize other users into extreme categories, such as nazi or fascist, based on a few comments they make.
How many actual nazi or fascists do we have that are Lemmy users? Can’t be many.
I think its different defaults in different mobile apps, yeah.
Yeah its a good choice to not get influenced by voting.

If you spend it on social media, sure. Which probably is like 99.99% of people today.
Gotta be the best at something right.
