Do your clothes not get mildewy/musty in the closet? We have a big enough one to do this in, but the few times I’ve tried to dry my clothes indoor they got that mildewy scent to them.

Now we live in an apartment where I’m not allowed to have a clothesline outside, but It’s really like to not use my dryer at all because it’s so hard on clothes.

Yeah I also love spicy food, from “moderate spicy” to “crazy spicy”. My husband surprised me with the Buldak Ramen that went viral for a second for being banned in Finland or Denmark or whatever. I ate all four of the packs after a time, but never repurchased.

But I like your comment because you highlight how hot sauces are a mixed bag. My all time favorite hot sauces are usually habanero based, despite that not being the world’s hottest pepper. They’re just like…the perfect general kick of spice.

I also tend to prefer certain hot sauces for certain things. Nando’s Extra Hot is fucking GOAT for all fried chicken things. Fast food nuggets/tenders, fried chicken breasts/wings, homemade fried chicken, there just isn’t a better sauce. I go through the large bottles easy. It just has that spicy tang that elevates chicken specifically, which makes sense because that’s what Nando’s is known for.

But then my favorite for topping pizza, or quesadillas, or mac and cheese or anything “cheesy” is Mad Dog 57. I find it hot to the point of discomfort unless the dairy is there to mitigate some of the heat. Its fire with anything cheese though.

But a good habanero spread on a sandwich, or a habanero based sauce drizzled over fries or breakfast tacos or eggs or like…pretty much anything? Chef’s Kiss Fucking perfection.

I suppose I’m a little more patient with it because I went through the same change myself, AND because I like people (finally) pointing out that we do have a system for socialized healthcare in America!

I mean, tbf, joining the military IS what made me start looking into the concept of Socialism and what it means.

Is the military socialism? No, us Enlisted have no power and the Officer corps is the “owning class”, but we have good, tax payer funded social benefits that I believe everyone should have access to.

It’s like a gateway drug into anti-capitalism idealogies. If the US is never going to go full socialist (or at least not in our lifetimes), then I think raising taxes and giving everyone TRICARE, VA Loan benefits, tuition assistance, and a pension will go a long way in solving most people’s biggest fears/relieving a metric fuckton of oppression caused by capitalism.

Also, having been to the Middle East and seen firsthand the stark difference of people driving around Ducatis and Lambos, parking in front malls inlaid with real gold, while 10 minutes up the road whole communities had built their shack homes in the desert with random odds and ends and thrown blankets over their windows was…I cant really describe the feeling I got. Dread, anger, immense sadness, just a whole myriad of negative emotions. Couple that with the intense religious fervor that is rampant in the region, and yeah, I have no idea how a military member can look at all that and be like “This. This is what America needs.”

Granted, yes, unfortunately a lot of our service men and women are still unfortunately extremely pro-Capitalism/Trump and Elon Musk fanboys…I just don’t know how.

Either way, my comment got long, but when people start in on the “The Army is Socialist!” Dont be mad. Educate! They’re at the very least coming from a place of “Fuck, we really could make everyones lives better if we give everyone these benefits that we enjoy so much!” And that shows compassion for others, which is something so fucking desperately needed right now.

Yeah. In Maryland all alcoholic beverages are in a liquor store. Walmart legally does not sell beer or wine there. Not gas stations. Nor anywhere other than the “packy store”.

This is super sad. I’m not a Houston resident, but I heard her speak when she opened for the Women’s Convention in Houston in Fall 2022. Very motivated individual, very optimistic about the fight for equality, and knew how to get a crowd hyped out of their depression. Adored her.

Late to the game but it was DnD night for me! Nearly lost a party member but our cleric pulled a revivify! (Honestly with the diamond requirement, we pulled some shenanigans to get it to work but the DM was chill about it). But @ 2300 hrs, the fucking bad guy came back with a second health bar and like all of us are tapped for spells and potions, so we’ll see next session who actually makes it out! Got my second character set up already!

He wants to send his daughters to school in a place where they’re not only being valued for their wombs. Where they’re looked at as being equal contributors to their field of study. Where they’re provided opportunities the same as every other scholar there, and not assumed to be in college to find a husband.

And, yes, there is a bit of “if they get into trouble will they have options?” At play I’m sure as well.
