Either you have a few hours to watch a movie or not. Why do people need to post to the internet to ask stuff like this? You do realize you can stop a movie if you’re not into it right?
Here from Reddit–might stay a while.

Sorry dude but he’s not doing shit. He’s busy buying random shit in my hometown and enjoying not working like 99% of the entitled rich transplants that priced out all the locals there.
Sounds like your daughter needs to actually learn how to drive. I made scary mistakes when I was learning but the key was I learned to not make those mistakes. Take the phone out of the equation and let her learn the roads where she’s driving. Teach her to pay attention to her mirrors, what other drivers are doing (and not doing) and anticipate moronic behavior from other motorists.
Ah, yes of course, because there can’t be any subtlety to how we feel societal systems be implemented—it must all be all or nothing. Regardless, nothing I posted is blocking people from voting or advocating for actual impediments. I just shared an aside that my personal opinion is that if someone is too stupid to figure out how to vote they probably shouldn’t be voting in the first place.
We’re the oldest democracy in the world and as such are likely the most poorly designed.
How is wanting people to vote a weird opinion?
If someone is so inept that they are incapable of utilizing the internet or otherwise seeking help from a person who they trust, or (shock) reach out to their local authorities to navigate the very simple task of registering to vote then yes, I believe said individual is probably not in a position to cast a meaningful and informed vote. Does that disenfranchise people? Yes. There is a point in which we must draw a line in saying certain individuals are not eligible to participate in this system (which we do all the time; see: minors, felons, etc.)
That being said, my comment is not physically stopping a moron-incapable-of-using-google from registering to vote—further I provided general information on how to do it. I want everyone who can do so to vote.
who’s downvoting and can you explain why?
Just as a PSA, if anyone is concerned about malfeasance in the voter registration process, go to your state of residence’s Secretary of State website or the main State Website. I will not post any links becuase if you can’t navigate the web to find an official website I really don’t think you should be voting—sorry kids, mids and olds.
Your state’s Secretary of State website will have instructions on how to both register to vote and to actually vote. Your state’s official website will also have the same information if your state doesn’t have that office and registration is controlled by some other entity.
We (united states citizens) live in a federation and the reality of that is most elections are handled by local powers so there are some ocassional differences in how voting is administrated, key point—go to your locality’s OFFICIAL websites to find how to register to vote.
It really does matter. There are elections beyond the presidency. Hate your senator? vote, hate your Representative? VOTE. HATE YOUR STATE REPS? FUCKING VOTE? Live in a state where ballot initiatives are a thing??? FUCKING VOTE!!!
it doesnt cost money. just register and educate yourself on what’s on the ballot and go to the goddamn polls. there are a lot of issues causing problems right now in the US but at least one thing we can do is go to the ballots on election days and vote based on our convictions.
search for your state’s Secretary of State website or go to your state’s official website if you are concerned. An official government website will generally have a .gov address or a .state.StateLetterAbriviation.us or some permutation.
The newton comes to mind, a hand held touch screen device that was launched a decade before the palm pilot fulfilling no use and being extremely expensive. Flash forward 30 years and everyone has a touch screen mobile computer in their pocket, but the newton was a complete failure.
Vr is so niche, and a huge pain in the ass. I usually just use it for MS Flight Sim or other PC gaming (not gonna happen on a walled garden Apple device)—I can’t imaging doing any work in a vr headset.
It’s unfortunate because I’d really like to see a Vision Pro Display in person (I’ve had a lot of hmds over the years and the quest 3 is really fantastic for a cheap ass device so I’m certain the Vision Pro is other worldly but at that price point it ain’t gonna happen).
Until a headset is as unobtrusive as a pair of eyeglasses it will not see mass appeal, especially since we’re in a general cultural climate of being exhausted with tech bullshit.
I would surmise that in 15-25 years, Apple (or whatever company it becomes) puts out a device that does what they were trying to do with the Vision Pro, and it is adopted by society as the new standard. It would not be the first time they put out a massively expensive and wholly useless product decades ahead of its need.
Why do you have so many tabs open?
I literally said it allows you to vote in some state primaries.
Pro tip: you can vote for whoever you want to in US elections, regardless of party registration—registering as a member of a political party in the US means literally nothing—save for getting sales calls, being combined with a meaningless cohort for reports on “polls” and being given the option to vote in some primaries.
So long as you are eligible to, and registered to vote in your municipality, you can exercise your civic duty to vote. Don’t let weird psy-op posts like this one imply you’re unable to make your voice heard.

Welcome to investor-stage capitalism where nothing is worth anything other than to the brief returns for the investor. If the investor has not made marginal profit it is time to kill, kill, kill, regardless of the product; be that a studio, a game, a food, a medicine, a house. Better burn it to the ground than risk any marginal loss. (Ignore of course the lack of product, content, value, etc that would actually entice someone to buy—the only reason a company should exist is to give money to investors—no product should come before that!)
God I hate that mouse so much. It’s basically a testament to apple’s 2010’s design philosophy: make the worst products possible.
