On top of the reason the top level comment gave (easy for law enforcement) it also allows for better data collection (linking your activity to your account, no matter where, how or when it is recorded)

That’s assuming the old comments are actually overwritten instead of just marked as ‘old’
New models are like really good at context, the amount of input that can be given to them has exploded (fairly) recently… So you can give whole datasets or books as context and ask questions about them.
Funny how you think an edit doesn’t write the old record to a comments_old table
Same with the camera, and probably something can be said about the ports too.
Should apple be allowed to completely close those off though? Nah
There are so many ways to encode information into an image without changing its look that I doubt you’ll find most of them by “changing levels”
But then those images could contain the very fingerprints he’s trying to avoid

The teslas having the most crashes I did see pass by on my news feed too. It doesn’t mean that because teslas have self driving and teslas crash the most that this means the self driving tech is the reason for it though. Correlation does not imply causation.
Never got them for some reason, with just ghostery (and maybe privacybadger)
Well the whole deal was that you were interacting with an official apple service directly… so having to register for an apple account doesn’t seem that strange.
They merely took out the intermediary step of the relay with real apple hardware (Macs)
Even more fun when you need to do machine learning (for which linux is often the best or only option). Getting nvidia drivers to play nice is hard enough, try adding CUDA.
There’s websites where you can check if a game can be played on Linux. For me personally I know a game I play a fair bit won’t work on linux for a fact, and most of the stuff I need I can get to work on Windows just fine.
Some of the games I play can’t be played on Linux because of anti-cheat. One even uses a fucking kernel-mode driver on windows so it sure as hell ain’t working on linux
So don’t pay for windows, get it unactivated and use MAS to activate it.
Don’t worry, by the time it comes to pc you’d have to have a more-than-a-decade-old gpu to have the same power. (They didn’t mention a pc release apparently, only console)
Yeah ofc, if you already have a valid key doing everything you need you ofc have no need of it. If you would like BitLocker and remote desktop protocol (build in) like I do, you need a “pro” license.
Stealing from a big company like microsoft is still ethically justified imo.
For anyone wondering how one would go about upgrading your home install to pro, there’s MAS. It’s a simple script that will activate the windows version of your choosing, it can activate msoffice too.
Possible, but nobody is wasting such a good exploit on average consumer PC’s.
Plenty of paywalled sites have workarounds (Bypass Paywall Clean extension basically does that for you)
