If you like tinkering and tech go Cachy. If you just want things to work go Ubuntu.

Yeah. I’m not pro-AI by any stretch but internet searching powered by AI has made it MUCH easier to tinker and troubleshoot. The Linux community can be pretty awful when you’re new to Linux and trying to make things run.
Just browse Wikipedia when you’re bored. Find some trusted newssites and visit them/subscribe to their feeds.
You lived before Reddit you can do it again if Lemmy isn’t for you.
It’s a shit site full of bots. Who cares?
Find a better alternative and move on.

VPN is the tried and true.
If you want to have them even less involved than that use your mobile phone data plan as a hot spot.
Depending on your definition.
Probably dozens.
People I talk to daily shooting the shit? Probably 10 or so.
Decentralized area with poor infrastructure. Population unlikely to betray intelligence.
Hard to hit targets if you don’t know what the target looks like.

Rich people. So expect less.

What kind of cake are we talking here?

Still rather they spend the resources they spend on AI elsewhere.
Firefox better stop with pushing AI and features that no one wants.

That’s still registering your political affiliation with the government.
Which is still fucked up.

Isn’t it pretty easy in the US?
For some reason people need to register with their government what their political affiliation is. Not sure if any other country in the world does this but it’s stupid as fuck for every reason.
It seems like it should be a much larger story/saga but I’m getting a feeling it’s a one-off and they’ll never come back to it.
Is this just Strixhaven 2?

The prime example of a stable country with access to high levels of cheap energy.
Just gaming, but anything that works in Arch generally should be fine in Garuda. Honestly, after using Linux for a year and trying 2 very different distros (Mint and Garuda) there’s really not a lot of difference between them for the average user.
