Is there any law in any state that would allow you to kill a 3rd party to escape being killed yourself? (If there were, I’d probably opt for not living in that state)

At least it’s a step in the right direction. Especially since they’ve been extremely evil when it comes to teens. Tho I’m sure they’ll figure out how to continue to be evil with these restrictions/guidelines in place.
If photon hitting a surface can impart momentum, does generating photons also impart momentum? Like, if you put a solar powered laser pointer in space, would it move?
I assume these companies being sued follow standard procedure, which is that everything freezes the moment a lawsuit starts. It’s pretty much a guarantee that these companies halt spending, let alone even communicate, with X
Im Def racking up interest but I’m lowkey banking on student loans being forgiven before the extra interest becomes a problem. Like, I’m gonna assume that at worst I’m adding an extra year of payments, but that’s going to be future me’s problem in like 15 years.
I definitely don’t qualify for finacial hardship in any sense of the term. I’m in the high end of middle class income. I’ve been participating in the not paying as a form of protest for student loan reform/forgiveness. I’ll be relatively fine when payments of $500 a month start back up. It’ll suck but not gonna put me into hardship.
It’s really about solidarity at this point cause I’ll be in student debt for an insane amount of time. Then again, even tho I’m okay, I don’t have much of a runway if I were to get an unexpected layoff
I’m not sure what I’m gonna do. I think I might choose to miss one or two months just to see if we all hold the line
Now that bribes thank you gifts are legal for officials, it’s not like we are even asking them to cut off all their corruption money faucets…
I totally forgot to include carplay in my long list of things. It’s such a dependable and clutch feature. Good carplay support had way too much influence in my decision of what car I bought.
I dislike this logic. It’s really a black and white / all or nothing approach. Also, I think the photos app is just a microcosm of a bigger consideration. That being which OS do I trust more overall if I trust some of the built I apps more?
So first, I will say that the phrase “stopping me from switching” kind of implies that I’m looking to switch but can’t.
I used to have android between the iPhone 4s and the iPhone X. Back then, there were significant features that I wanted that I couldn’t get from iOS. Tho now there isn’t much that android has that I don’t feel I have access to that is significant .
As for what keeps me around and happy with iPhone is
Over the years, I’ve gone from being a major tech enthusiast to now not wanting to have to futz around when I’m not on the clock. I still like getting tech and adding it to my home, but I don’t get in the weeds anymore. I just want my shit to work. I want my stuff to just work for my family.
I dunno, tweaking and futzing used to be important to me. But now confidence and simplicity matter more to me now
I think you said elsewhere that they are new and that they are photoelectric rather than the radioactive ones.
I’m purely taking a shot in the dark but I’m wondering if you should try sealing up the hole(s) in the wall that you made to run electric and to mount the detector
My thinking is that dust might be getting caught up in a tiny draft through that hole and it’s so close to the source that it sets it off. Cause like, if wind hits the side of the house, there can be some positive pressure in the crawlspace which often also means inside the walls.
I guess maybe somehow there could be some stream or condensation as well. If it’s right by the front door and the humidity is high, maybe the hot air from outside meets the AC air and causes a tiny amount of condensation. Or if you live in hellscape temperatures, maybe there could be some vapor generated because of the hot air.
He’s such an egomaniac that reproducing is a kink for him. Imagine being one of those kids and knowing your dad gets off at your very existence while him also caring so little about you other than your genes
It’s an interesting question. For me personally, there will always be some level of taint. But we all also have our own tolerances
So something like net-value = value - (taintedness - tolerance)
and the higher the net value, the more likely I’ll buy
Like, Sagrada Familia to me has an incredible value because of how crazy the architecture is and how crazy it would be as a lego build. Still has a decent amount of taintedness cause catholic and my tolerance for catholic stuff is low.
But U.S. Air Force Academy Chapel in CO is a dope looking building so a high value. It does have catholic chapels but also has many different other chapels, which I think overall reduces the taintedness over a straight up catholic churches.
It’ll be interesting to see how it does. I personally have zero interest in spending a shit pile of money to have a massive Catholic Church in my place. I’d be willing to bet it will make more people who are interested in this sort of set decide to get something else than it will attract people who wouldn’t get this sort of set decide to get it
I don’t often actively root for tech to fail. Even if it’s something g dumb, it can pave the road for something down the road. However, I’m here for the failure of this because it’s been so nebulous.
I don’t know how to explain it, but this kind of feels like when people were trying to make products where the main hook was blockchain and they seemed to have worked backwards from the tech to a product to the problem being the last thing considered.
As far as I can tell, the only advantage this thing has that a smarter smart watch can provide is taking photos and videos. So maybe there is something there that is worth exploring. Who knows, maybe if apple or Google released this with robust integration and a reasonable price, maybe it could have some potential to have a use case. Maybe GoPro might want to explore the form factor? All that said, none of the things that I think have potential has nothing to do with AI which is what they think is feature #1.
Depends on the type of RAID, probably not needed for just expanding storage but having one that allows for a drive to fail is absolutely still prudent
This guy comes across to me as someone with major new guy syndrome. Saw and heard things but lacked the technical knowledge and context to be able to actually understand what it was.
I kind of feel like starting a non profit that solely creates patents for evil ideas with no intention of ever licensing them
Unless you want people to like you!
