IIRC that’s just one of the backends they use for their results

Reddit@lemmy.world•A little observation I wanted to share, how lemmy's engagement per user is higher than reddit(10x by some metrics)English
11·4 days agoWith Lemmy/Piefed being much smaller, I comment a lot more than I would on reddit since I know my voice will likely be heard. Outside of niche subreddits, posting a comment was like yelling into the void. It sort of all came down to how early you made it into a thread on whether anyone would actually see what you said
I think thread/forum-like platforms do a lot better at a small to medium sized community size

401·7 days agoI really like the Zen browser. It’s Firefox-based, open source and privacy focused with AI removed but it’s also really pretty and is built around vertical tabs

6·12 days agoAw, I’d complain. A lot of open source tools don’t pay for a cert so they get the GK warning

1·12 days agoYou can disable the FN shortcuts so that they’re just regular F# keys. The print screen thing is fair though admittedly in so used to them that I’ve set them as shortcuts on my main Plasma desktop lol

1·12 days agoI should have bought more DDR5 when I first built mine. I figured I’d be able to add more later so I just focused on a good CPU…

89·13 days agoI love it because its existence means I get a good chance of having a UNIX-based machine in new corporate dev positions. If a company is giving me a work laptop, I’ll take a MBP over a Windows laptop any day (assuming I can’t install Linux)

31·13 days agoThe CEO is insane. He apparently self-describes himself as a socialist but is the highest paid CEO on earth and fantasises about dumping cyanide-laced urine on people protesting state-backed brutality

You Should Know@lemmy.world•If you have ANY Canadian ancestor, you are likely a Canadian citizen as a result of recent changes in Canadian lawEnglish
7·1 month agoI strongly believe that the yellow should have all been Canadian. It’s dumb having to drive over Maine when heading to the east coast if you don’t want to go through the US
Wow in Canada you’ll maybe get a letter from your ISP telling you that they got a complaint and that they’re legally obligated to tell you to stop but that’s as far as it’ll go. If you keep torrenting without a VPN, you’ll just receive the same letter again but they don’t actually care
What the hell even is that email? What purpose does sending a fully generated, unprompted email like that out even serve? Is it just a bizarre advertising campaign for their platform? If they wanted to send a sincère thank you message then they could have written it themselves rather than that shallow slop that benefits nobody

I’m pretty sure it asks you how often you want to see the AI overview doesn’t it? Can’t you just click never?
