Yeah, before the orange bastard came back, I would have absolutely defended the choice to not allow import of Chinese EVs for specifically privacy concerns and the Chinese government having access to my location and habits. Now? Fuck it. I don’t even care anymore. I’m more concerned about the domestic threat to even give a shit.

Hell I’m a millennial, and I bounce around music streaming services all the time. They all offer more or less the same thing, and overcharge like hell for it. Spotify will send me a trial for like $5 for 3 months or something, I’ll sign up and set a reminder to cancel in 3 months, Amazon music will send me something similar, I’ll do that, YouTube premium will send me an offer and I’ll go there. Worst case I’ll have to deal with shitty ads for a while in between offers, but I’d say 10/12 months a year I’ve got some kind of premium service going for a fraction of the advertised cost. I know that their goal is to get me hooked and paying monthly for their shit, but I’m on top of it enough to not ever let them. Fuck the shareholders. I’m looking out for me.
Same, we had texting and snake, but if the teacher saw you doing either (aside from maybe shop class) they would confiscate it til the end of class.

Yeah, I remember hating the syncing. Just fucking let me select the files and drag it over! Then every software company decided that they needed to idiot proof every fucking thing to the same extent over the next 20 years. I fucking hate Apple’s devs for that.
My work offered an AI chatbot therapist. Like to, I’m not putting all my negative feelings into a company sponsored LLM to fucking have it say, “no relax guy, it’ll be OK.” Like it’s a fucking clanker. It doesn’t have feelings. It’s not fucking real. It’s a slap in the face that they even offer it.

I don’t see him on here, but Trevor Moore hit me super hard. I grew up watching WKUK, and was a big fan. He was only a couple years older than me, and what really resonated with me was that he had a son the same age as mine. It just got me thinking about my own mortality and what grief I would put my wife and son through if I’d passed away, and really put me in a dark place for a while. R.I.P. Trevor.
This one was one of the 1st celebrity deaths to impact me. The worst part was he was not very well known at the time, so nobody knew who I was talking about when I said stuff like “I can’t believe Mitch Hedberg died” which sucked. There was only a couple people I knew that even knew who he was.
3·2 months agoI get it, but it was still annoying. Straight to perma ban. I tried to appeal it, pointing out that I had broken no rules and they just muted me. I legitimately don’t think anyone reported my comment, just some mod who likes the guy decided to ban me. It was horseshit.
I called Tim Walz a “spineless fuck” for saying that he would never seek elected office again. Banned from a sub I was active in daily. Apparently you can’t have opinions on public figures if there are bad words involved.

The Nazimobiles came out after Elon needed all that Saudi money to get him out of the hole he dug saying he’d buy Twitter and in turn started amplifying chud propaganda on Twitter at their request. Anyone with a preorder had an opportunity to cancel and get their money back to not support a fascist. Fuck 'em. Let them eat fire.

It sucks ass. I’ve gone through about 5 of them well short of 10 years. I do see that this brand released a new version, but this is the one I had. Absolute garbage. They kept giving false positives, and they have no replaceable batteries so they just become E-waste after you disable them. This is the one I had.
