There’s a difference between “they rode the bus into town” and “you personally sold them a car, saw them rob a town with it, and continue to refuel and maintain that car explicitly for them to rob towns with it”

If a transmissions company tried to spend money preparing for a disaster like this, their shareholders would sue them into the ground and lobby to make it illegal to acknowledge the existence of the sun.

Electric motors work by inducing a magnetic field with coils of wire, so I’m sure a strong enough EMP would disrupt it temporarily, but I don’t know if it would meaningfully damage anything after the EMP ceased.

Disclaimer - not an electromagnetic scientist wizard
My understanding is that EMPs are more of a concern for the tiny electronics on computers versus relatively large motors or batteries. So, an electric vehicle is still at risk, but I don’t think it’d be any more at risk than any ICE car that’s all computerized anyways.

My gut reaction would be “actions still have consequences motherfucker”, but my gut would also be to immediately remove this person from ever interacting with me again.
Sometimes, the results of something you do don’t quite match your intentions. Mistakes happen, miscommunications happen. A genuine person would respond “oh fuck, that is NOT how I meant that”, and apologize. A gaslighter does the above.

(homeopathy) n. a complementary therapy based on the theory that ‘like cures like’. It involves treating a condition with a tiny dose of a substance that in larger doses would normally cause or aggravate that condition.
No, I think they mean actual medicine my guy, based on science. If it’s “homeopathic” and it works, we just call it medicine.

Have you and I been reading the same /r/changemyview?
More seriously, the article says nothing of actual efficacy. I don’t think most people are particularly receptive to having their mind changed through direct rhetoric on the internet, it absolutely happens but it’s not nearly as concerning as other polarizing social media behaviors.

It makes me optimistic - he’s fucking with the money. Change can happen real goddamn quick when someone starts fucking with the money.
To add, a lot of sites that “Fade into obscurity” still have active communities, they’re just not mainstream anymore.

It’s almost always “their colonizers” taking advantage of it lmao they get paid a pittance for the privilege.

Sure, but people just set their VPN to Nigeria and bought their games for $5. This isn’t the cleanest solution, but they can’t just do what you said.
