Ugh, yeah that’s a dealbreaker. At that point you may as well install a remote kvm or use IPMI/IDRAC

have you tried KRdp?
edit: Huh, apparently supports it natively?
Wayland sessions support RDP in Ubuntu 21.04 and later. To enable it just go to: Settings > Sharing > Screen Sharing
Oooooooof lol
I actually had pretty good success using the ol’ RDP hack, both in mint and ubuntu. This is a fun guide once you get past the raging unearned elitsm “apparently this is a thing” yeah no shit idiot I used to run it on friggin’ NT
Not so much a disease as an occupational hazard though…
There are a lot of linux people out there who are…very odd. I ran into a bunch who laughed at the thought of a gui terminal server - something i’ve been working with professionally for over two decades. Some really don’t understand jack nor shit and just parrot half-truths and poor knowledge like it’s gospel. “Don’t uninstall apps, you’ll break shit!!” No, uninstalling apps improperly breaks shit…

(Btw if i see one more person wail about how terrifying it is to run DD ima choke a bitch…)
Fun times would be to prevent companies owning copyright.
I wrote a whole goddamn novel-sized autorespond in Polaris that triggered on an asl. I was a 96 year old tibetan yak farmer who was allergic to wool and hated the local monks. I used to pee in their milk until one day the abbot found out and beat me with his hat.
Either that or it started screaming about asexual lizards
Because you’re dealing with lifelong windows users who want a reassuringly familiar looking OS not fucking linux techs
Jesus christ learn to tailor to the user

Tell ya what, you go fight a herd of dinosaurs and see who wins
~Everyone thinks it’s funny until they face off on an emu~
But will it do the tory Power Stance?
the funniest part of the fall of MS for me has been the cunts getting so excited about fucking off the home users they forgot one vital thing: C-suite and beancounters run at a home user level. And most infrastructure techs will happily flick to a linux distro come server build time.
Their current direction has also pretty much killed their use in anything related to media distribution, it’s virtually a detailed list of TPN violations
I think you’ll find these machines are exceedingly usable when you put a non-bloated OS on them
Convinced that napster was stealing all his moneys and pretty much cemented the idea that people pirating things means you’ve lost BILLIONS OF REVENUE as opposed to an indicator that you’ve got a supply chain or pricing problem.
I wasn’t even a metallica fan but i started downloading tracks in the days of yore just to delete them out of spite
Mate, i’m 46. I literally see this day in and day out
That’s an incredibly bad faith reading.
Anyone younger than 45 is going to have greater digital exposure and be more adept at electronic communication. The older you are, the less likely you are to be frustrated with how geriatrics communicate because the more familiar pre-digital communication styles will be to you.
Too blind to tell the difference on a phone keyboard, too vain to wear glasses / update prescription
Terminal in this instance meaning “endpoint”, not command line
