Tempus Fugit

This seems to be the way things are going. On the plus side all of this has pushed me outside more. I’ve been picking up cheap or free outdoor activities that I now love. Birding and amateur photography have been my latest passions and they can be pretty cheap.

I’m at 3 years with my current phone and it still does everything I need it to. No need to replace.

I genuinely don’t know. Reddit probably has to shit the bed more and the word has to spread. None of my irl friends want to join here.

Plenty of folks only have sympathy for those these know directly. As for empathy, I don’t think they have that.

It seems like every day I’m assured that my choice to leave that shit platform was the right one. Can’t even type “Luigi” without getting banned, but fomenting hate is rewarded, LMAO, get fucked.

The smartest move I ever made was dropping all mainstream social media. I don’t get any of this BS. Meta, Twitter, and Reddit are a plague on society and I’ll have no part in it.

Sounds like leaving that platform was a good idea after all. After about a week I didn’t care about reddit at all. Good riddance and I love to see it fail.

Well jumping ship 6 months ago seems to have been the right move. Sure my posts here don’t get nearly the same traction, but people are still seeing them and that’s good enough for me. I never was a karma chaser so who cares?

IDK, I’m pretty sure in capitalism the line is supposed to go BRRRRR. People leaving a platform or service isn’t good for their bottom line. The only way to teach these corps is to hit em in the wallet.

Really? I’ve had a 7 pro since launch and it’s still working great. The battery is definitely getting long in the tooth and the type c port doesn’t hold a cable like it used to, but overall still a capable phone. The camera array is still pretty great too.

I’d say that’s not true. Sure a lot of crap here is reposted lazy grabs from elsewhere, but there is plenty of quality OC. In general, I also find Lemmy to be way less toxic and censorship heavy.

Well I’m certain they feel vindicated raising their prices. I’m sure the rest of the Industry will soon follow suit.
