Ah, sorry, I read your post incorrectly. Glad it got figured out.
Also zeppo@lemmy.world. Not a lot of Zeppos out here.

Ah, sorry, I read your post incorrectly. Glad it got figured out.

I’m not sure what you mean by a website that does this, but Lemmy uses a couple different simple formats for that. You can use a ! or just /c/. For instance

The idea that AI is a “google killer” and a replacement for web sites always struck me as incredibly dumb. I know that’s how many people use it though, which is fairly awful. So, AI gets all of its information from websites. If it puts websites out of existence, where is it getting new information from?
Lemmy.ml specifically? I doubt if it’s representative of Lemmy as a whole.

Plenty of money to imprison and torture people. Not so much for lunches for poor kids though.
In my experience, people are generally unaware of current events and history. They don’t understand basic math. They are very poor at critical reasoning and don’t comprehend things like evidence or facts, so they’re easily convinced by hunches or baseless claims prominent people make.

Huh, that’s what a pick me is? I hadn’t understood that previously. I thought it was someone who tried to suck up and pander to people, so I guess about the opposite.
Anyway, I get pretty annoyed at people like that. I’ve had friends who do the opposite, where they’re engaged and silly and energetic one-on-one, then when they get around other people, go into “cool mode” where they’re low key, low energy, and sorta negative about me.

I figured at first it’s some sort of scam. But then, someone mentioned that it could actually be an anti-Nicole operation, like someone with a grudge against her is trying to get people angry with her, and trying to get people to go troll her discord or whatever. One thing I’m sure of is it’s not a normal way for people to interact on Lemmy.

I use it for almost everything. I only resort to Google if I can’t find what I’m looking for, which is rare and typically it’s something obscure. Google has also steadily made their service worse over the years. I don’t feel like I am missing much.

Okay, cool. You filtered it. People post and participate in those discussions because they want to for some reason. I you have something you’d prefer to discuss, go ahead and start a conversation.
Welcome. If you mean reddit as in the company, yes. They’ve been trying to make the site more attractive to advertisers in the past couple of years.

With Republicans in charge of both chambers of even one, there’s zero chance.
Make onerous rules and restrictions. Hold posts for moderation and make them answer questions. Don’t accept the answers. Shadowban regular contributors.

Sure. When republicans are in power they increase the military budget and give billions to wealthy people in tax cuts and generally run up the deficit and national debt. Then when democrats are in power, republicans are all of a sudden very concerned about spending.

I get why the Republicans would be giving away money to wealthy people, since that’s basically their entire job, but I don’t get the rationale for why there would be a ‘dividend’ at all. Obviously, Elron’s cuts are intended to cripple the government, replace employees with loyalists, and prepare to replace government agencies with private companies, not anything about savings or efficiency, but why would the goal not be to balance the budget? Giving money back to taxpayers makes no sense as long as there is a budget deficit.

I wonder what they’ll do with the horrific video screen refrigerator doors.

They tend to have convenience store prices. The liquor is cheap I guess…

Can’t wait for Walgreens to get even worse!

Apple was doing that already I thought, but if they want to j/o special Trumpy, okay.
I’d make a database with one table holding the encounter names, and then another with attributes where each is associated with the IDs of the appropriate encounters. Then select a name, and the associated attributes, print out the name, and then assume you want the output in html, a <ul>, loop over the attributes and print each one starting with <li>, then end with </ul>.
