The methods required to do so will inevitably lead to higher unemployment, and due to the aforementioned lag, there will be a short period of time in which we see higher unemployment and inflation, before we see the desired effect of lowering the inflation rate.

A constant problem with autotldr is that it uses pronouns which refer to someone who hasn’t been mentioned yet in the abridged article. It makes it look like Biden “has encouraged a growing and well-organized conservative backlash” when that makes no sense. In the original article, “He” actually refers to Donald Trump, but autotldr skipped over the sentence that introduced Trump’s involvement. Similarly, “That finding” does not refer to the major survey mentioned in the previous sentence.
Honestly I hate this bot and I downvote it every time I see it. This sort of thing is easy to catch when it says something wildly out of character like this. But the same thing happens all the time in ways that are not-so-easy to spot, and wildly misleading to readers. And the pronoun thing is one tiny example. This bot might as well be selecting sentences at random, for all the important context it omits.
Just read the original article or skip it. Please don’t rely on a program that butchers the original article for the sake of making it shorter. This is the kind of thing that makes us lazy and vulnerable to misinformation.

The image he shared was one that had already been circulating for months. Can you find an example of the Secret Service going after anyone else who retweeted it? Did they even go after the person driving the vehicle in the picture, or the company that produces the tailgate wrap?
Pretty sure this is protected free speech. Nobody in their right mind would see this as a credible threat to kidnap Joe Biden; it’s just a humorous way of showing displeasure toward a politician.

Thank God. As a lender at a credit union, I’m tired of pleading with our own underwriters to give people a break on their medical debt. Some of them are quite accommodating while others stick to the credit report guidelines religiously. I’ll be glad to see this source of ambiguity cleared up for good, and to stop penalizing people for having the grave misfortune of requiring medical treatment in America.

It’s interesting that the interim CFO, an outsider appointed by the state Board of Regents to step in and fix the budget shortfall, is actually defending the acquisition.

For those who might not get the joke, someone gave Rick Santorum’s surname an unpleasant alternate definition in order to shame him for opposing gay rights.
This may be true for married couples who started dating when they were teenagers. Since you brought it up, I’d be curious to see what proportion of the couples in the study fall into that category. I have a hunch that it’s a pretty small percentage, though.
While it’s true that there is some stigma against (e.g.) a college freshman or sophomore dating someone who’s still in high school, I don’t think many people in their right mind would object to a 2-, 3- or even 4-year age gap once both partners are at least 20.
EDIT to add: I don’t think 17-year-olds being afraid to date 15-year-olds even registers on the top ten reasons “why people are increasingly lonely.” Your take comes across as very high school-centric.
