Lemmy seriously needs kindergarten-level SEO. None of the communities barely show up on Google.

We’re now a step closer to making dogs with BBs in their mouths and when they bark they shoot BBs at you.
I haven’t been using Wordpad for 20+ years. Notepad could do everything it does already. Then, you also have Firefox’s built-in inspect to tinker with code on the fly.
Does Lemmy count as social media?? lol
And to make matters worse, insist that no amount of modification would justify buying that cooler ever. It’s literally covering your ears and muttering la-dee-da repeatedly.
Linus just needs to miss the Denslow cup and play ball, and he’ll be just fine.
So, is the official term for AMAs on Lemmy “Ask Us Anything” (AUA)? Or shall we call it “Lemmy Ask U”?
I don’t think this could convince the rest of the family to switch off Line, but I’m pulling for it.
Also: “removed by mod”.
The beauty here, though, is you can easily cross-reference on the mod log what post was removed and why.
Makes it a lot easier for us former Reddit mods dealing with claims of persecution.
This looks cool but not my cup of tea. Any other custom frontends we should know about?

The problem is people are selling Lemmy the wrong way, lol. The average user doesn’t give a fuck about decentralization or federation. If you want to convince people that Lemmy is a good Reddit alternative, you have to show them the content/discussions and the UI/UX.
UI/UX is getting better, but still far away. The mobile apps are okay. Content is still behind, mostly because most lemmings aren’t helping their communities in generating content and engagement. The moderators can only do so much in curating. You got to help them out by posting content as well or at least commenting on the threads. Don’t just lurk.
Once they learn patriarchy and PHDs, they could be kings of the real world.
MFA was one of my fave subs so I decided to check out what happened since this forced reopening. The pinned thread asking for mod volunteers is being trolled right now. I love it.
This is the best idea. Even better than “fuck spez”, tbh.
Every other day, I get over how mad I was about the whole spez thing, and just focus on bettering our community and Lemmy in general.
But then they do something again that immediately remind me how much of an asshole he is. Last week, it was them taking out the coins and awards. Now this week, it’s introducing r/Places like nothing happened and we’re all friends again. Fuck him.
I’m one of the many who deactivated not too long after it launched. My dashboard was just being filled with so many users (mostly celebrities and influencers) who I don’t recall ever following or even being on my sphere of interest. It doesn’t help that their posts are inorganic attempts to spur engagement.
I expect awards to be the next big addition to this platform. Not necessarily purchasable through coins (that will come in the future) but perhaps an option available to every user that you can use once every three months.
Woah, Tumblr is still around? I’m not surprised they’re losing that much money. They’re just caught in the middle of the short form journal of tweets/toots/threads and the photo blogging of IG.
Pretty much this. It’s why I love it for my use case (microblogging journal that only I can see), but it’s definitely not for everyone else.
It’s why if your average influencer or news consumer wants a Twitter alternative, it’s likely Threads or perhaps BlueSky, not Mastodon.
