My LG TV runs WebOS, which is a linux distro. I have been wondering how hard it is to root and replace with a distro of my own choosing. I had thought because my TV is pretty old that I was safe from the more sophisticated spying, but last week it interrupted what I was watching and would not let me continue using it without agreeing to new terms of use. This revived my interest in rooting it.

You can run routing software on any linux machine with multiple nics. It isn’t really a magic appliance. I suppose what they really mean aren’t routers per se, but wifi transmitters?

WRT leftover money: If they are career politicians, they’ll bank most of it for their next run. Often they’ll throw fancy parties, have important campaign wrap up meetings in very expensive restaurants or strip joints, pay their spouses crazy consulting fees, and find other ways to keep what is left.

I’d use an s3 bucket with s3fs. Since you want to host it yourself, Minio is the open-source tool to use instead of s3.

I think they are trying to go back to before they were grown up and had to deal with adult issues. They idolize their innocent childhood and some how associated that as the time when America was great. They find it really confusing that the child’s perspective of that time window was flawed. They also find it confusing that different age conservatives all imagine a different time window for when life was good.
