    I can’t answer your question but I can tell you that my ad-free Hulu still required me to whitelist them in my adblocker if I don’t want to wait on a blank screen that says “Please turn off your adblocker” for 60-90 seconds per episode. I almost suspect the ad segments are encoded into the player directly or that the the “skip ads” function somehow gets blocked along with the ads themselves. Hopefully YT doesn’t goe this route.
