I’ll call your bet and say that Sweeny is right. I think AI will become so commonplace that there will be no way around it and the market has already been streamlined in this direction.

I would love it if my “feels” could be seen. But that is not reality. This battle is already long lost. Lemmy and the like can rage about it til their flames die out but it is a lost cause.

I’m in favor of the disclosures for my own personal reasons, but I see a lot of people who are anti-AI usage based on “vibes” and that does not sit well with me. If people are disregarding the positive benefits of the technology because “vibes”, it makes me doubt the validity of those opinions.

I use thunderbird but I don’t know what email server to use!! No outlook because fuck Microsoft too, but my Gmail gotta go too if it’s this blatantly intrusive. Who do I use?? I’m too poor to host myself.

I don’t know about the other games but it feels kinda disingenuous to plump Ark and Subnautica in the same category as small team indie games.

I literally want to claw my eyes out because of how popular indie rogue-likes are. And that people can argue with a straight face that these are not just as good, but preferred to a big budget game, will forever baffle me. I get that everyone has their own tastes … But it feels like they are taking the piss.

Because it makes them a lot of potential money. This has been going on since business as old as radioshack logged phone numbers initially to the dismay of the consumer, and whatever the fuck probably bothered people about capitalist practices and privacy before that. I will never understand the hate boner for AI because I rarely if ever encounter it and if I do it’s backend like the thousands of learned algorithms before it. I think AI might actually be revolutionary the way lemmy acts like it impacts their day to day lives.

Yes you should dual boot, but to like 95% of people it doesn’t matter so maybe just running windows won’t be the living hell this place makes it out to be.
