7·9 months agoif your two accounts are on a different instance, federation takes a while, your follow signals to your instance to synchronize the content from the other account, and it’s not instantaneous, it’s queued along the requests of everyone else on your instance.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Can I delete my Lemmy account and just vanish?
30·9 months agoNutomic, one of the original developers of Lemmy explains here that overwriting your post and deleting your account will remove the content permanently. Deleting a post individually will however leave its content in the database of the instance, for recovery purpose:
i blocked all news and politics communities so memes and satire is my main source of information, and i have the feeling that i’m still on top of most of what actually matters

MTG@mtgzone.com•Can Pia make more than 2 energy per combat? (Answered/solved)English
6·1 year agoIf combat damage is dealt at the same time by one or several artifact creatures, then the ability triggers once (you get 2 energy).
If artifact creatures with first/double strike are attacking, you will get a trigger for the first time combat damage is dealt by the first/double strikers, and a second trigger happens for the other artifact creatures and the second times double strikers deal damage (you get a total of 4 energy).
From the Comprehensive Rules:
510.4. If at least one attacking or blocking creature has first strike (see rule 702.7) or double strike (see rule 702.4) as the combat damage step begins, the only creatures that assign combat damage in that step are those with first strike or double strike. After that step, instead of proceeding to the end of combat step, the phase gets a second combat damage step. The only creatures that assign combat damage in that step are the remaining attackers and blockers that had neither first strike nor double strike as the first combat damage step began, as well as the remaining attackers and blockers that currently have double strike. After that step, the phase proceeds to the end of combat step.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you think people's thoughts about death change as we get older?English
19·1 year agoOf course, when you’re young you don’t think about it, then comes the time that your grandparents pass, or a pet, and you get to experience a form of grief. As time goes by, you start losing more people you knew, a school friend, a work colleague, an aunt… And eventually death comes closer and takes away your parents, your social circle shrinks, you think of your own mortality.
Then you eventually think what will happen when you disappear. What if it was tomorrow, when crossing the street? What will people you leave behind remember of you? How can they deal with your stuff? Can you make it easier by lessening the amount of stuff you hoarded? Can you put down the important information to your online accounts somewhere? Will they be able to let the friends you made over the internet know that you’re gone?
Statistically, I lived half my life, and those thoughts come and go. I look at stuff in my cupboards that i haven’t touched in years and decide what to do with them. I start making preparations for the legacy of my many accounts for social media, banking, internet hosting, image backups etc. We’re all here on borrowed time.
Das letzte Hemd hat keine Taschen.
German saying: the last shirt has no pockets.
What you wear on your last day on this Earth doesn’t need pockets because everything stays behind after you die.
did you know that they also produce venom? aww indeed ☺️ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platypus_venom

You could pay me and i still wouldn’t want to use any of this.
I can write my own texts, I can read long ones without having to get a summary. I can draw, I can take pictures, I can do online research. All by myself without a spicy autocomplete to prechew it for me.
