The post I made up here that was removed for trolling (lol) was linking to an article and quoting that they had offered her 10 hours of community service and no admission to guilt as a plea. That the prosecutor on the case had already tried to dismiss the case. Funny how facts and context was trolling hmmm.

The only reason this is still even a story because she wants it to be a story. It’s a political stunt she’s using to stay relevant. Because remember what’s important is she stays relevant she didn’t give a shit about the cause.

I think we should all do community service. I love doing trash pickups and Beach cleanups and community events and I try to do them every single week. I think if you want to maintain a healthy Community it’s up to all of us to contribute communally.

And I absolutely think Jill Stein of all people would be doing way better for everybody in the world by picking up some trash than anything she normally does, which is entirely to her own benefit. For someone who claims to care about gaza, she sure seems to be good friends with a lot of Benjamin netanyahu’s friends.

You’re kind of missing the point of the fediverse though. You can always join another instance. You can always create a new account. You really can’t be censored. On the other hand corporate controlled social media can silence and ban you to the point where you’re just shit out of luck.

I remember back before there was enough football fans to even justify team specific subs on reddit. It didn’t happen by magic. More people kept talking, that attracted more people, and so on.

The point being that no community has ever grown without participation. If you want more people talking about football you got to actually talk about football. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen you in the NFL community. There was a game thread just a few days ago, you could have talked about the Patriots in that thread. They were playing.

Though I do agree the propensity of people on the fediverse who try to create little niche communities right away is a giant failing. Instead of doing it naturally and organically by making larger General communities that eventually get big enough to split off they try to create little ones right away and that fragments everything. I wish there was some way to stop that, or at least delete dead communities.

There might be more sports discourse if you participated in it you know.
