Cheap computer (I’m Canadian so let’s say these are maple bucks) say $500, what’s a rental $30 a month, so 16ish months before it’s paid off.

I ran a media PC off a $300 computer for years (I can’t recall exactly least 2 maybe 3). If you need more you probably don’t need a cloud one, if you get a cloud one it’s cheaper to buy a cheap computer every 2 years.

It may make a sense to some but I enjoy having my nas backup and separate media PC. Also if Amazon goes down you can’t even access the calculator, least with no Internet there are options at home.

Sounds like a reasonable idea for the issue presented. Mean the issue could be on one drive saying the file is there and complete, or many other issues since I don’t know the API in the least.

Yours would be my first guess for sure, it thinks it completed so delete local copy, which is what you’d prefer in that situation, well mostly, I sort of prefer a local working copy but need some other names and the program to recognize thm with then upload on actual save to the cloud storage…I say that and still curse at excel when it says it has a backup copy from a forced reboot, always keep one open heh.

Actually to be fair I hate those storages for that reason so much crap can go wrong without a knowledgeable user it makes things worse. You just hope the program can tell if it did it was done correctly heh and if not then end up clicking the wrong button and it’s all gone.

Local NAS for anything you think you’ll need, random ‘free’ cloud storage as a general backup. Mean I assume the NAS has raid so mostly good without more.

Yes and maybe not then. Look at Newton’s law, even it deals with psychology if not physical action and realize that we (under some theories) have free will to make the actions that will cause those. So something will happen to make you (or someone else) do an action and even if you (or they) don’t like it it happened. You can look at it from 1000 angles but either way someone with that personality would make it happen that way.

So gotta just accept, it is what it is, try and make it better and I hope it works out. Mean unless you can see the future and change things, we all are who we are, may. It be worth knowing or hanging out with but somebody probably made something you don’t want to happen, happen. C’est la vie.

I do not, no proof. If there was a god such as in the Bible why give us reasoning abilities when they give no proof? And if so, then I put forward the idea that if there is such a god, they don’t care if we believe so why bother?. Not to go all gamer but like the Sims, they made us and took out the pool ladder and saw what happened.

If there is a god that has such powers and cares, well fuck them cause they ain’t helping us it seems. If they are well we’re too far off course for it to matter, this playthrough is spiraling and it doesn’t matter if we believe or not cause we may be circling the drain.

Hah I always confused the name with that one with the episode Disaster (had to look it up Picard and kids winning something), no wonder I rarely watched it. Cause I’m pretty sure they go up ladders in turbolifts in that one so just thought that was that episode. But I recall liking the backwards people starting fires. To be fair I don’t watch much TNG these days but still my favorite series by far (also haven’t watch a series since Enterprise so may need to catch up).

Won’t happen functionally, as it’s designed to. I feel for the US citizens, they’ll break it all. From Canada where they had a new system, Phoenix or something for payroll I think, it caused a lot of hassle and was probably well intentioned, unlike this, but I never read much on it.

There are so many better options to whatever they said, like there are so many better options for a properly run government. These days I just assume this is how the the US people (as a whole, I know many do not want this) want their government run, which is troubling but expected nowadays, unfortunately.

I bought a course from udemy to learn it, helps cause you can follow along in an organized order. I actually haven’t touched it much since but it was fun to go through. Just make sure to buy their courses on sale if you do, otherwise they can get pretty pricey.

I could feel my dread go as I heard that lines over the years, as a young teen? Of course we will we always have, we endure. As a middle aged adult? I’m not so sure we aren’t going to shove ourselves back to the cave man era and not enough people will listen to anyone with survival knowledge for the species to survive.

Then I think about how many species that must have and will happen to in this vast universe, so we’ll probably be an average result heh in the grand scheme of things that is.

After listening to the book a half dozen times or so, I came to the thought it’s like poetry in novel form, the prose can be beautiful and horrid in emotions. Case is high as often as he can and he’s the lens we see most things through so everything is a bit surreal. So I’m guessing that’s agreeing with you calling it an art house novel it that’s close to what you meant.

It’s one of my favourite novels of all time, I only wish I read it when it was newer, only got it like 10 years ago and I was prime age to read it in the 90s. Oh well,glad I got around to it.

I started that like 10 years ago, unfortunately I have a funky shaped head so it doesn’t look as good as it may on others but I do enjoy the maintenance on it. I can definitely tell these days it won’t grow back like it used to (much thinner on the top, edging back on the top sides). However being able to use a hair trimmer once a week myself is cheap, and less things to do while getting ready in the morning.

I can understand since society seems to put value on hair but not worrying about it (some confidence) goes a long way. I barely think about it nowadays.

Even better a tablet with fake apps that makes him think he’s posting, but every reply is something bad said about him. Just one per lie he told, should keep it filled for awhile.
