That animation style scares the hell out of me

It’s a Legion Pro 5 with RTX 4070

I’m still drilling it into my own lol

Good point. I’ve been eyeing Fedora KDE for the next distro I want to try out, and I’ve heard that’s among the most up-to-date distros that’s not straight-up rolling release

That you don’t actually have to do everything perfectly, doing more things but 80% correctly is usually better

I agree but isn’t this off-topic to the comment you’re replying to?

I looked at Winboat’s website, and it seems really interesting but as an engineering student idk if it’s a good idea to take the risk of running a WIP software to access it. Plus, when I tried installing Linux last time (mint) it caused my trackpad, keyboard backlight, power mode options, and gpu/screen drivers to break (couldn’t run hdr, resolution locked to 1080p60, games only ran with integrated graphics). I know I can fix a good chunk of this is stuff on my own with downloading the right drivers/programs and enough time, but I don’t really want to spend any time doing that (and risk doing it incorrectly) since all my school work is on here

What makes you prefer Gnome? To me, it always felt too simple, as if they’re treating the user like a child learning how a computer works. I have the same issue with MacOS too

Can’t you access those with RPM Fusion or something? Whenever I’m able to switch back to Linux I’d really want to start daily driving Fedora

I’m curious as to why you chose OpenBSD over other FOSS OSes

YEAR OF THE LINUX DESKTOP BABY (im still stuck on windows 11 because of CAD)

I haven’t seen this in person but this is definitely still common. I’ve seen recently released movies that are still theater-exclusive this way (although on pirating sites not DVDs), it’s funny when I see some random dude walk in front of the movie recording and get reminded that it’s a physical recording of a screen lol

dude chill, i was asking because i don’t know anything about him
Why does everyone in this thread hate KDE?

Looking at examples online, it is surprisingly easy to understand! I can see it being better than Esperanto for romance language speakers specifically, but it still seems to me like Esperanto would be a better auxiliary language due to the simpler grammar rules and no fixed word order

TBH I don’t know much about other auxlangs/conlangs besides Esperanto. What makes you prefer Interlingua?

If you mean “is Esperanto English”, the answer is no, they’re pretty different, Esperanto combines elements of latin and slavic languages. If you mean “Isn’t English already an auxiliary language”, the answer is also no. English is a lingua franca, not an auxiliary language.

Reading through this thread really makes me wish Esperanto or some other auxiliary language caught on
Just wanna say that Blindisght and Westworld (at least S1, I stopped after) are awesome
