Idk what this is but why would someone spend time on such an animation?!

Last time I moved. Went to the mass transit agency and got maps of every neighbourghood I need it go or pass through. I was lucky to find one with my neighbourghood as well as my office. I keep it this me always in my pocket.
It works offline, never bugs or slows down and the interface never have a glitch. And if I want to, I can still use the GPS that’s in my phone. It’s not like I lost the option bc I have a paper map.
They are free though…
Any way he choose. How would pick my as boss? That’s a very bad move.
Angry users claim they are enabled to delete their own content from the site through the “right to forget,” a common name for a legal right most effectively codified into law through the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Among other things, the act protects the ability of the consumer to delete their own data from a website, and to have data about them removed upon request. However, Stack Overflow’s Terms of Service contains a clause carving out Stack Overflow’s irrevocable ownership of all content subscribers provide to the site
It reality irritates me when ToS simply state they will do against the law.
If StackOverflow teach me something, that is that legal jargon about copyright isn’t very efficient again ctrl+C/ctrl+V
Thanks. That will be helpfull.
Do you have any recommandation that is not linux or tech related. I struggle to find content there but I’m sure I missed many things.
As of today no. But I’m going by steps :
My goal is not to go full private or open-source but just less dependent on YouTube. Onfortunately so many youtubers are solely there.
Anyway, I believe that the day big for-profit intrusive company will stop leading the video hosting business, the format will get noticeably less popular as it is extremely ressource intentive. It will mostly replace by podcast and illustrated articles.
The explanation given here are very good. I just want to had add that theoretically, any Lemmy instance can communicate with another instance from another fediverse software but in practice, developers haven’t had the chance yet to make sure every feature is compatible with the each every other software.
If you want to try sending message across the different instances and softwares of the fediverse without spamming or flooding people discussion spaces there is a dedicated community: !testfediverse@jlai.lu
@Lemman@lemmy.world
There is also instances attached to national/local identity lemmy.ca, feddit.it, feddit.uk, jlai.lu (french), midwest.social, etc.
If you doesn’t understand the concept of federation very well, I believe it is best to pick a more general instance that doesn’t defederate much other. This way you will be able to explore community for many different instance and if you find a community to your liking, move there. Account migration is easy btw lemmy instances.
I’m glad that Reddit gave me the push I needed to finally join the fediverse. I absolutely love the technology to the point I don’t care so much about the content.
Hi, wanna do experiment across the fediverse? Here is a community dedicated to that: !testfediverse@jlai.lu
From my experience with Miskey forks, which behave almost like mastodon, to post from the twittoverse to Lemmy, you need to make sure the community is federated to your instance. To do that, open it like using the same url pattern for a remote user. Example with Sharkey : go to sharkey.world/@firefox@lemmy.ml.
Then write a note with a mention to the community just like it was a user. Do not mention more than one community because it will post only on one.
The first paragraph will be repeated as you title so avoid mentions and hashtags there.
On !testfediverse@jlai.lu we have tutorial on how to do that and also how to post from Lemmy to Mastodon. It is in french but you could use a translator or ask mods for advice.
Have fun with the fediversion!
I do. I go to the twittoverse to hear about asian-drama but that a bubble that don’t discuss other type of tv: american show, turkish soap, telenovela, … we could so many community.
Statistic is a really funny science. So some man who just pirate a 1 h 40 long movie will be inspired to also pirate a sitcom episode from the antipiracy campagne?
Stealing? You mean reproducing. Right?
Well, it’s not like being handicaped is practical.
People with disability have to deal with impractical situation all the time bc what is practical for able people is just not faisable or extremely unpractical for them, and society is far from being inclusive.
Do don’t have to first learn english. You could learn the basic without it but don’t except to be a good programmer if you are not confortable reading technical document in english.
You don’t need to master french to post here, you only need to welcome the power of automated translator!
Also, some people comment in English. That’s fine, we did not inherit the racism from Reddit and r/rance.
