Then OpenAI should pay for a copy, like we do.
I keep a win10 virtual box available when I need excel while in Mint. Otherwise I’m good. Have win10 set as dual boot but switched main boot to Mint once I got used to it.
Anything that relies on mini/micro USB for charging. With enough repeated use, they eventually cause an early failure of the device.
Oddly enough, OneDrive is the least of my problems with windows. It’s pretty handy at work since I have to juggle tasks between multiple PCs. My only hang up with Linux is games, which is odd since time wise I don’t spend most of my time there.
My chickens say Shannon is full of shit.
We really turned full circle.
Never. Never had to prick them either.
Garbage in garbage out they say…
Corporations are finding that the vocal minority is small enough that they can let them complain all they want, and nothing will change. There are now enough users out there that it just doesn’t matter what how much we complain online. They just have to wait it out since the silent majority just don’t care anymore.
Reddit, Netflix, Spotify, and now Google. It’s happening everywhere lately.
It’s a plain text file that is hosted on your site that should be visible to the internet. Basically allows/disallows scraping from search engines in your site.
Why is AI scraping not respecting robots.txt? It wasn’t ok early internet days, so why is it ok now? People are complaining about being overloaded by scrapers like it’s the 90’s
Duolingo has been getting extra attention from me these days.
Yup, that’s me. I’m still a little surprised at how easy (thanks Spez) it actually was for being such a heavy consumer of Reddit. Doing Christian wrong like that, as well as the many popular 3rd party apps and their loyal users, just didn’t sit right with me. Spez chose the nuclear option, instead of actually working with and potentially helping to grow the site along with 3rd party devs, so this is the resulting fallout. He asked for it, so he got it.
It’s ok guys, Elon told his engineers to just rewrite the stack, so all problems will go away!
This is also my take. Reddit today is very different from DIGG 10 years ago, in that for a majority of users, their experience of USING the site will not change. These users access the site normally, or even with an ad blocker, but that’s about it. For them, nothing has changed.
What’s left is a vocal, but powerful minority. Reddit Enhancement Suite for desktop users won’t notice a change at all, until Reddit decides to do otherwise. Same with old.reddit. 3rd Party app users are the only ones FORCED to use something different: Official app, Desktop, or leave/move to Lemmy/Kbin. Reddit will still keep going, but the overall quality and usefulness will decline. Spez is betting that this will be enough to survive, and he’s probably right. Their valuation can tank all they want but it’s still in the Billions from what I last saw.
No, not in a North vs South sense. If anything it’s just going to be in the form of terrorism like we saw during his presidency. Just more bold.
