linux users are sane?
linux users are sane?
You joke but it’ll happen eventually
Something like 2/3rds of the world uses chrome for desktop. I’d bet that number is higher for windows specifically. If you’re the rare person who doesn’t use chrome then you’re savy enough to know this doesn’t apply to you
Really? I use it constantly
I think in this case it’s a good thing tho (normally I’m with you)
You mean consumers aren’t both rational and omniscient?
At least here in the states reverse engineering is totally legal. So generally emulators are legal to build. That said Nintendo can and will make their life difficult regardless of whether or not the emulator itself is taken down
Good luck
Now to just have another tool that randomly selects a template and one which randomly generates a phrase. Run it 200 times and send the best ones to your friends
Back in the RuneScape days people would do dumb password scams. My buddy was introducing me to the game. We were sitting in his parents garage and he was playing and showing me his high lvl guy. Anyway, he walks around the trading area and someone says something like “omg you can’t type your password backwards *****”. In total disbelief he tries it out. Instantly freaks out, logs out to reset his password, and fails due to to the password already being changed
Funny. Back in my l337 days public Trello boards were one of the easy ways to get passwords. People would put shared passwords for team accounts just on their board, in plain text
Sadly haven’t found a search engine that beats it
Why are people connecting their machines to wifi in the first place?
Such an underrated feature
Ya it’s the fundamental issue with all of computing: Do what I mean not what I say
If you have the privilege of being able to walk to and from your grocery store then self checkout is great. I get why people hate it in suburbia tho
Genuine question. Who still uses a scrollbar for more than a visual indicator of progress?
This is lemmy so people are going to side with the non-profit side of things here
The best I can understand of the situation is that Sam and lots of the rest of the employees were generally trying to move toward a for-profit model. The board didn’t like this and fired him which is within their power. So if you don’t like a for-profit Open AI then you’ll generally side with the board on this one. (Part of the boards “job” is ensuring that AGI is developed for the benefit of all of humanity. This isn’t an exaggeration it’s literally outlined in their list of duties)
If you only look at how wishy washy the board has been then they look like big dumb dumbs. But given how many employees walked out they had no choice but to try and get him back. At this point many people are expecting the board to resign in full and a new board to be instated but we’ll just have to wait and see
I honestly stopped using it after a week
