As my liege demands…
It’s such a joke. Amazon is so desperate for automation, but is too stupidly arrogant to realize the tech really isn’t there yet.
I work at a amazon facility with robots and management does everything in their power to keep me away from them because I can outwork the bots without breaking a sweat.
Looks like no one is getting any ice cream lol.
I mean we say that, but look how happy people are to just go with the status quo just because ‘it could be worse’ or some variation.
That’s why its one wannabe oligarch per bunker.
They than get to (try) to play god with everyone they so generously allowed into their ‘fiefdom’ without any known opposition.
Could always set up a refinery of sorts.
And while gas absorbs water from the air, I’m sure there is an expensive way to if not outright prevent it, than slow it down way more than current mass adopted storage.
Off the top of my head i imagine some sort of giant glass tank involving vaccums and check valves would at least extend the usable life by a fair amount.
And while there are a lot of popular motorcycles whose gas mileage is little better than a car there are also a good amount with amazing gas mileage.
There’s also the possibility of converting the motorcycles to alternate fuel sources like propane or natural gas.
Or as these people are just rich assholes indulging in their fantasies they may really take their cue from movies.
I think it was maybe last week or the week before there was a thread about plex enshitification and I recall a lot of downvotes to folks praising/recommending jellyfin over plex.
Too greedy. They want all the money so bad they will believe any conman.
Yeah, I had/have problems with Jellyfin transcoding too.
Basically transcoding things that didn’t need it and wouldn’t transcode things that did need it.
Just like I never called french fries freedom fries, I will never call the gulf of mexico the gulf of america
A lot (if not most) of vr games can be played seated though.
Sure you might technically still be moving around but it’s easy enough on you that most people - even grandma, could play.
So I don’t see that as a barrier to mainstream.
Any disposable I’ve bought that doesnt have a recharge port the battery was dead with at least 20% ejuice remaining.
At best they are pretty much useless for employees, at worst they are as dangerous as managment.
No it doesn’t, at least not everwhere.
If you wanna be an idoitic asshat, and get all pissy because someone points out a flaw in your argument, thats not my problem.
“Don’t buy games with invasive user-side anti-cheats that hamper performance, and demand refunds on any game…”
1st point: AC Wasn’t there at purchase
2nd point: AC was added decades later so how can one return the game?
So sorta like the imaginarium of Dr. parnissius? ( its called something along those lines lol)
It’s just like every other ‘sandbox’ game out there.
About the only substance is in the early game. Then there isnt much to do but grind out a checklist to collect everything.
It gets repetitive too fast.
It would all depend on the hired killer. Even the most horrible of people tend to have a ‘code’ they will follow.
The amount of times the shit breaks down combined with the slower speeds means it doesn’t really matter if they work 24/7 right now.
Yes, robots are coming, but amazon has been acting like they will be here tomorrow since it’s inception.
The reality is robots that cost less than people that at least do comparable work in the same time frame is still a decade or 2 away optimistically.
Amazon trying to force it doesn’t change that.
Amazon is to robots what meta is to vr. Dumping tons of money trying to force the ‘future’ today.
