Was hopeful to get a zigbee and threads coordinator. Sadly, it’s an „or“ not an „and“.
I need threads support, so I will probably get it anyway. But it’s just an evolution, not a revolution.

So, he practically says that being a CEO is trivial and mechanical.
How does that justify the insane pay then?

I guess mastodon.social

Do they call it „Newspeak“ yet or does it take another couple of months until they do?
Damn, the US deteriorated quickly into a total shithole! Not much left to go until it’s worse than China.

I have yet to see any so called „AI“ that is even remotely able to replace true „knowledge workers“.
LLM can be helpful. But I do not believe that I will live to see them replace humans on more than an low to average level.

Urks, Go away you wannabe Hitler and your shitty Nazi-AI!

Looks interesting. Definitely needs a mobile client to become a viable alternative.

If they somehow manage to make Musk sell his shares, Tesla might become a viable company again.
Until then: I don’t care.

I have gotten a year Perplexity pro subscription for free somewhen in summer last year. Guess, I won’t even think about split second about paying for this service or even using it after my free year has run its course.

How does it differ from paperless?

Jeff Geerling is great. I really love how he tackles and breaks down even the most complicated things to make it understandable.

There is no one to sell it to.

And he’s right. The Autopilot has not improved for the last 5 or so years. It rather has gotten worse. Phantom brakes are a nightmare and truly dangerous, the wind shield wiper is highly erratic and the lane departure warning is often just plain wrong and mostly annoying.
I really regret buying this car. And that is not even counting the disastrous image issues caused by the wannabe-Göbbels that owns the company.
Finally!

Kinda fitting that Microsoft chose Chrome as the base for its Edge browser …

Almost the same way I used to use Twitter innthe early days:
Works really well for me and even though I only have half the amount of followers I had on Twitter, I have more high quality conversations and less trolls.

I run a Proxmox cluster with 2x Dreamquest pro, each with 2x10TB had in an IcyBox, plus an external Raspberry Pie with a 12 TB disk for backup.
The disks are refurbished to keep the costs down but run in a mirror setup. So if one fails, I’m fine. I use an old laptop as a 3rd node and the main nodes replicate their load, so I‘m fine even when one node is dead.
I wish we had more immigration to compensate for our aging population.
The only real problems we have are right wing extremism and climate change denial.
