Yeah, fair enough. There’s plenty of info on dual booting, but not so much when you’re ready to send windows to the shredder!

I’m wanting to do the same thing, except windows is on my m2 drive and I want to migrate Linux there from my slower SSD. Does anyone have a guide or best practice for that? Gparted is scary.

Note they won’t prorate anything, so if you want to cancel a year sub two months in, you’re stuck with it the whole year.

Ideals? You mean diet fascism?

Did you read where OP said they are throwing an install party?

RTFM, always good advice. Thanks

Thanks, saving these! It is NTFS, found it had been flagged as dirty and was in fact recommending chkdsk. Chkdsk didn’t find anything to fix, but its mountable again back in linux. I figured NTFS would be fine since I’m dual booting (separate drives) while I get used to Linux. Should I power off the Pi before removing next time?
No worries, appreciate the insight!
Appreciate the advice; I may just follow it considering how positive an experience Mint has been.
Thanks all for the helpful replies! I do have a second ssd, I can probably dump everything there before I format my m2 ssd. I do primarily game thru steam, I’ve got icue software that isn’t compatible but I believe I can use openrgb. Nvidia card also, is it just driver related?
I put Mint Cinnamon on an older laptop just this past weekend and had a lot of fun with it. Are there any migration tips for my main Windows machine? I was thinking of going with Bazzite since it’s my gaming box. What about saved game data and whatnot? I was reading about Putty and SSH ing over to the laptop, but I’m not sure what a good strategy is for my desktop.

Super cool, I’m very interested
My intent was to commiserate and call out how AI is ruining the internet and creating additional friction represented in this thread, and I don’t agree it needs a whole discussion elsewhere. To your point, AI is a crutch for the lazy and will contribute to the further lack of critical thinking evidenced here. But, I can see you’re set on being condescending and pedantic, so I’ll happily show myself out.
Oh sure OK, there isn’t a larger issue here at all, it’s just people being dumb. Sure pal.
When people question if every photo is real or fake, thats a problem, and if you don’t recognize that you’re a fool.
AI is a problem right now, your frustration is proof enough of that. This will only continue to get worse, unfortunately.
Great photo, btw.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted, you’re right. Kids calling 911 is what gets first responders on scene. Until kids in America can attend school without the threat of gun violence, banning phones is not an option.
For extra fun, the work they do doesn’t disappear, it just gets foisted on whomever remains. You get the benefit of doing your job and someone else’s with no pay increase

How’s that boot taste?
